Today I have been playing with the MFT Flower Shaker die set and have created an interactive maze card using the colours from the MFT Color Challenge #73 -tropical teal, coral crush, gravel grey and black.
I began by creating a soft coral crush watercolour background, a deeper coral flower petal paper which I embellished with Minc reactive mist and opal foil and a soft teal watercolour background for the leaves.
Unfortunately the card was a bit of a challenge to photograph and the detail of foil, metallic silver and glitter is not showing up.

Today I was inspired by the fabulous new June mood board over at Scrapbook Boutique, Gold is the new Black. As soon as I saw the board I imagined fairy gold dust and funnily enough sitting out on my desk was the Gansai Tambi Starry Colors pallette, along with a “just acquired” star stack die which was just begging to be heat foiled. So the creative process just seemed to all fall into place.

Today I have been inspired to enter the My Favourite Things Color Challenge #69. I decided to challenge myself to think of these colours in a non floral way and felt drawn to my Minc Hot Pink foil as a feature for the ripe raspberry color. From there it was not hard to flow to a Tim Holtz spun sugar smooshed background for the cotton candy color. Then of course hedgehogs can have “safety orange”hair, can’t they. The steel grey color inspiration was incorporated in the mat and hedgehog shadows. I also had fun making some cute little foiled hearts using the heart dies from the Die-namics Stitched strip set.
