I was inspired to create a card for the Fusion Interlocking Hearts Valentine Challenge using the card sketch- mirror imaged, and also elements of the quilt image-pink and red colours, the intertwined hearts and the puffiness of the quilting. I instantly new that I had to use my Avery Elle Love Puffin stamp set-they are so intertwined. Here’s what I created.
I used a stencil to create the embossing paste puffy hearts background. I layered this with pink vellum and dry embossed a white heart vellum banner. The intertwined puffins were stamped, black areas coloured with a black memento marker, then clear embossed. The other areas of the Puffins were coloured with Copics.
Stamp: Avery Elle Love Puffin
Dies: nested heart, small heart
Other: White card, pale pink vellum, Elizabeth Crafts heart embossing folder, heart stencil Stampin Up, Viva Modellier Creme, Mother of Pearl mixed to pale pink using Tim Holtz Pickled Raspberry, clear embossing powder, Copics, Memento black marker, red pearlised card, pink bakers twine
Thank you so much for stopping by and I enjoyed creating this Valentines card.
Today I have been inspired by Therese’s gorgeous card as guest designer on The Flower Challenge #5. I loved her use of coral colours, the flower outline die and also her layout. I was immediately inspired to use gilding flakes in behind the Titlth outline daisy die which I double layered with foam tape to give the daisy added dimension.
Supplies used: Tilth Floral Daisy, Memory Box, Avery Elle, Simply Said Hugs stamp and die, Cosmic Shimmer Gilding Flakes Autumn leaves, double sided adhesive sheets, Colorbox rose coral inkpad, Memento black inkpad, white enamel dots, sparklets, white and coral card stock.
We have just heard some exciting news-our son has been accepted into Oxford University to complete an MBA. So, of course, a befitting card needed to be created and the Ellie stamp set by Avery Elle just seemed to beckon me. Ellie and the balloons were copic coloured, fussy cut and then foam mounted. Background was created using sponged die ink, spritzed and die cut. Star background was created using the Altenew tiny star stamp. Wink of stella was applied to the balloons and grass. Final embellishments using clear twine and clear sequins. Time now to crack open a champagne.
