Today I have been playing with my newly arrived MFT June card kit and decided to create a card for the MFT Color Challenge #72, shades of 2 blues, red and charcoal.
Since I live in the sub tropics I just couldn’t resist the bird of paradise stamp to sit on the mail slot and of course the MFT bold cover ups background die just seemed to compliment the mail slot die. It doesn’t show up in the photography but I love how the MFT brushed silver card looks so much like a real brushed stainless steel letterbox.
Stamps: MFT Birds of Paradise, MFT Lots of Hugs
Dies: MFT Mini Mail Delivery, MFT Mail Delivery, MFT Bold Stripes Cover up
Inks: Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Faded Jeans, Memento Danube Blue and black
Other: Copic Markers, MFT Brushed Silver card blending card, blue card, silver card.
Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon.
Today I decided to play with my new Avery Elle Birthday Bus image and create a card for the CAS Watercolor Summer June 2017 Challenge and the HLS June Watercolour Anything Goes with optional masking Challenge.
The birthday bus needed to be made into a summer holidays bus so with a little masking here and there I had the little animals all going to the seaside for summer holidays. In Australia with the majority of the population living near the coast line then summer is definitely all about the seaside.
Stamps: Avery Elle Birthday Bus, MFT Whimsical Waves, Sentiments: Lawn Fawn Lets Bokeh & Happy Summer, Penny Black Sweet Wishes
Dies: MFT Stitched Rectangle Scalloped Frame, Lawn Fawn A Birdie Told Me
Inks: Tim Holtz Distress Oxide broken china, faded jeans and fossilized amber, Memento black, Versafine black
Other: Zig brush colors, watercolour paper, fun foam.
Thank you so much for stopping by.
Today I have been inspired to enter the My Favourite Things Color Challenge #69. I decided to challenge myself to think of these colours in a non floral way and felt drawn to my Minc Hot Pink foil as a feature for the ripe raspberry color. From there it was not hard to flow to a Tim Holtz spun sugar smooshed background for the cotton candy color. Then of course hedgehogs can have “safety orange”hair, can’t they. The steel grey color inspiration was incorporated in the mat and hedgehog shadows. I also had fun making some cute little foiled hearts using the heart dies from the Die-namics Stitched strip set.
Stamps: MFT Lots of Hugs, MFT Happy Hedgehogs
Dies: Die-namics Twice the Hugs, Die-namics Stitched strip (hearts), stitched rectangle
Inks: Tim Holtz Distress spun sugar, Hero Arts Charcoal, Versafine black
Other: Watercoloour paper, Zig Brush Markers, Tattered Angels Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Mist, Wink of Stella clear brush marker, Heidi Swapp Minc reactive foil Hot Pink, craft foam, grey and white board.
I have been waiting to find time to play with the new release Lawn Fawn Meow You Doin stamp set. Just couldn’t resist the image of the birthday cake tin of fish-well what self respecting cat wouldn’t think that this was the optimum birthday treat. And… I also couldn’t resist entering the Lawnfawnatics challenge #4, Black /White and Bright.
I began by creating the confetti black and white background using black embossing paste and stencil, then coating the confetti pieces with black Wink of Stella. I created a bright purple background with Tim Holtz distress inks and glimmer mist for sparkle. The Zig brush marker watercoloured images were also coated with Wink of Stella clear.
Stamps: Lawn Fawn Meow You Doin
Dies: Die-namics Rectangle Peek-a-boo window
Other: Watercolour paper, Kaisercraft Geo quarters stencil, black embossing paste, Wink of Stella Black and Clear brush markers, Zig brush markers, Nuvo Jewel drops-orange marmalade, pale periwinkle, Tim Holtz Distress Ink pads, Versafine black ink pad, clear embossing powder, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist-dazzling diamonds.
I just wish that the photography had picked up the bling of this card.
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope that you have a purrfect day.
Today I was inspired to create a fun card reflecting the basic happiness of a good bubble bath. I just couldn’t resist the Clearly Besotted raccoon in a bath image.
