Welcome Baby Grandson Shaker Card

I was inspired by the Just Add Ink #343 Blog Hop Pop-Up & Interactive card challenge to create a cute baby card for a dear friend who has just become a first time grandmother to a beautiful grandson. I do just love being able to create special cards for special people in my life. Here’s what I created with a glossy accents dimensional rocking horse as a centrepiece.

Materials used:

Stamps: Personal Impressions Big Sentiments, Penny Black Word Express, Kaisercraft stitched circles, Rocking Horse stamp, source unknown, Altenew tiny hearts background.
Inks: Altenew Caribbean sky (heart background), ocean waves (welcome baby), black memento
Dies: stitched rectangle, stitched circle, stitched borders, lawn fawn
Other: assorted sequins and confetti for shaker. Sprinkle berries 3mm blue for embellishments, white card, Polychromos pencils to colour rocking horse, glossy accents to coat fussy cut horse.

Thank you so much for stopping by.

  1. This is so wonderful! My favourite part is your colouring of your rocking horse, well actually i have more favourite parts…. that fabulous stitched circle and those fabulous shaky bits too!

  2. The scattering of hearts makes a lovely canvas for your beautifully coloured rocking horse Carol and I love the gleam of the iridescent sequin behind in the shaker. Thanks for joining us at Just Add Ink this week.

  3. Such a lovely way to celebrate a baby boy Carol! Loving the iridescent sequins and stitched detail, they really make this a “wow” project. Thanks for joining our interactive/pop-up challenge at Just Add Ink.
So glad you got the link sorted and this super cute card loaded..:0)
